Description
Rust reigns!
Captured 11/15/12, early AM, at the base of a flag pole in front of a long abandoned senior citizen center not too far from my habitat.
ZOOM.
This is one of my favorites among the padlock genre.
I was so intrigued by this find that I decided to do it as a collage, employing varied POVs.
I had originally shot this scene in bright sunlight, but the high contrast and sharp shadows created such a distraction that I photographed it on a cloudy day, Andrea style, eliminating all that other confusing stuff.
Adjo, and have a nice day.

This lock & pulley really looks weathered. I can just imagine how the flag looks atop that pole. Nice collage. :]

There is no flag atop the pole. There has been no human activity around this pole and the adjacent building since it was closed and boarded up.

Someone didn't want anyone to take this flag down. Great shots, with the rust giving an interesting texture and colour that matches the ground.

Wow, what a wonderful find, Harry; what a great opportunity for POVs, with lots of rust and bits of "workings"...For some odd reason I really like the middle shot best, and I can't explain why. Great work!

Great capture Harry, the rust really sets in the moment you let something set for a while.

Fascinating place for a padlock. Lock up your flags!

Fantastic photos, great details and textures. Agree with MrsRatbag, I like most the POV of the shot in the middle.
