Description

This old bird house has been abandoned for a long time. A swarm of honey bees have taken over and now there must be a thousand of them. I am sorry that I have not been commenting as much as I should. Iwould be tempted to try and get some of the honey,but they worked hard for it and will not like someone taking it away after all the work.It is probably best to enjoy them from a safe distance and just let them be.

This happened to my father in laws bird house he built. :))) He called a bee keeper and he came and took the first house full of bees.:)) This year my father in law put up a new house, and the bees took it over once again. :)))) It is nice to see that the honey bees have come back. :)))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))) Thank you for sharing. :))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :)))))

This happened to me, but in my house, between the false ceiling and the roof, we had to call the fire department, they came and found they were Africanized bees, so firemen had to use special suits and had to kill the queen for the other to leave the hive. Great capture, Dana!

I have not seen this before although we do get wasps behind the boards on our roof ends,there could be a pot of honey in there but the problem is getting at it.
