Description

Three separate trees and their long shadows, captured 8/15/12, very early morning, at a favorite park within trodding distance of my banal bastion. Shots taken at a 16:9 aspect ratio for wider coverage. I may return to check out the length of the shadows now that the sun hangs relatively low this time of year. ZOOM for better detail. Oh, and I had a heavenly time yesterday watching three football games on the telly. Auf wiedersehen, and have a nice day.

I love tree shadows, especially when the sunlight peeks through in spots and dapples the ground. These long shadows seem so much bigger than the actual trees themselves, aren't light angles fun? Great work on these shots, Harry.

You have certainly got plenty of beautiful trees out there...and of course they throw wonderful cooling shadows. Seems like a great area to walk.
