Description

I was working on an abstract image for my sister, Gail, and a lot of little legs appeared. To anyone who has read Terry Pratchett's Discworld series (as Gail and I both have), 'a lot of little legs' brings one character to mind. So here's my version of the luggage, hitting the sea of the Discworld, somewhere near Krull and rather too near the Rim where "there was definitely less horizon than there ought to be." HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GAIL! The best place to find out more about the luggage is Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. There is also a brief summary of the character here: http://discworld.wikia.com/wiki/The_Luggage Thanks for viewing and for previous comments and favs.

There have been stage and television adaptations of some of Terry Pratchett's books. I like the television adaptations of "Hogfathers" and "Going Postal" a lot.

Never heard of the books that this fantastic rendering is based on, but you did a yeoman's job on its creation, Lucinda. The transparent crystal objects remind me of swans.

Very sorry, I missed this one somehow. I've never read 'Discworld', I guess now I will have to if I'm the delve into significance of this beautiful image. You know how much a hate reading.... too many notes, er... words. Though your depiction of the local fluid dynamics is intriguing. With all the grace and elegance that complex partial differential equations can muster.
