Description

Aka rose mallow or tree mallow, captured 11/23/12, early on a foggy morning, in front of a neighbor's condo patio. It is related to the hibuscus and hollyhock. I didn't check it out at the time, but since I was looking upward at the lovely bloom, I assume the waterdrops are on the back side of the petals. The drops stand out nicely via ZOOM. Ironically, it looks better under these conditions than in the sunshine. Avtio, and have a nice day.

Beautiful capture of this mystery flower. The colors and patterns are accentuated greatly by the fine water droplets.

I'm not sure what flower this is either but it surely is a beauty and how wonderful to catch the raindrops like this too. A superb capture.

Hibiscus have dark, shiny green leaves. If this is a vine, it's a clematis, but not sure....it's been awhile since last seeing one. It is beautifully shaped.

I'm not sure, Harry; it's a beauty, whatever it is! Those waterdrops are sheer perfection. What a fantastic capture you got here. I'm thinking it could be a geranium, they come in lots and lots of styles, and those leaves certainly look geranium-like. If the homeowner doesn't know then I guess we're out of luck!

charpix: this could very well be a clematis because it does grow on vinelike stems.

A trailing geranium, or pelagonium, I think Harry. Great shot and most beautiful flower, whatever it is though, hugs Jane xx
