Description
Captured 11/23/12, early AM, within walking distance of my handsome habitat.
Top shot looking east, bottom looking west.
Great conditions for a ghost train.
Speaking of that, the only trains that use these tracks are of the slow, lumbering, freight variety, with warning horns that can be heard and headlights that can be seen a mile away.
Ta-ta, and have a nice day.

Your get arrested or knocked down if you try this where I live!

Andrea, that's the way it is in the imperious and restrictive UK. As for being knocked down, I could walk slowly away after hearing the warning horn and still be a mile away by the time the lumbering train arrived. And, I not only stand on the tracks, I walk on them instead of the loose rocks.

I think just about every photographer tries this, I know I did. Nice job here. They do make for a nice picture, and I love trains.

It does seem to go off into infinity; very excellent shots here, Harry! The fog is the perfect touch.

This is true, I noticed when I was with Bill and Rog.. You much, very much use your rail network.. I know people fly but trains could take so many more and so much faster than you do now! Odd that.. Ours run at up to 125mph.. They are planning faster still.. While at Roses, i saw no trains at all.. Anywhere.. Terrible huh..? Fine fog shots though Harry mate.. Have a work with your president? lol LIKE YEAH!!!! He'd listen!! NOT! Same as ours...NOT! Rob

Yes you would be in deep trouble standing on the railway lines here in the UK. Great shots Harry showing perspective, hugs Jane xx
