Description
This is a breeding pair of Green Birdwing (Ornithoptera euphorion). If I got it right, the female is on the left and thus the male on the right. They are huge, maybe a wingspan of 6 inches (15cm) and a blur of neon green when in flight. Taken at the butterfly dome at Tradewinds Park, Coconut Creek, Florida, about 20 miles south of where we live. Check out the details and colors in zoom. Info from Wikipedia.
