Description

This is a Shaft Tail Finch also called a Long Tailed Finch. It is a common species found in Australia. It is a predominantly fawn colored bird with a pale grey head and prominent black bib and eyes. The Long Tailed Finch inhabits open woodland areas across northern Queensland, Australia. They are about 6 inches (15 cm) long. Info from Wikipedia. Photo taken in a huge walk through enclosure Called Jewels of the Sky Aviary, Tradewinds park, Coconut Creek, Florida. Zoom does work.
