Description


Two photos of clouds passing across the moon last Thursday night. Hopefully this will animate correctly! Image details: Canon 5D MkII. Uncropped image. 180mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope. Focal length 2700mm. Camera sensor size 24mm x 36mm, diagonal 43.54mm. Effective magnification 2700mm / 43.54mm = 62x. F15. Exposure 1/10 sec. ISO 100. Lunar tracking on HEQ5 Pro mount. What a shot! The first thing I noticed were the details, and then I immediately went looking for Crissium: I hear real-estate is cheap there! So many wonderful craters to re-discover! I love ever bit of this and the cloud motion is superb. This is brilliant in so many ways!
