Description
As I mentioned at the end of my last post, I 'WAS' looking for something to repaint.Rummaging through my files I passed one labeled 'US Carriers', I assumed this was my first effort the USS Enterprise and my later USS White Plains, so I rummaged on.Then I found a file labeled USS White Plains? Curious I went back to US Carriers....not a ship in sight...but something else, the something else being in the top image and it wasn't alone.
When I started this modeling lark I didn't have a clue what I was doing (still don't) and learned as I went along. This is a prime example, I got a reasonable shape and finish by sub-dividing the mesh, again and again and again!! Looks pretty good but the fusilage alone is 30mb :-( So I tried something else and forgot this..."come on NeiWil, is there a point to this"? Yes! I'm glad you asked, what you see in the top image got 'deep sixed', and the lower image began, early days but taking shape, I'll keep you informed.
@ T-Rex...Tailspin says "sorry", it WAS him....for punishment I've sent him to the warehouse to sort out a torpedo'oooooooh s$*t!!! catch you later......

Looks quite good. I cannot wait to see the progress.

Nice! It amuses me that this is being built in a program that bears the name "Wings 3D", too, that just tickles my word-play sensibilities.

Ugh-oh! And Oh, s$t!!! I can just imagine what he's done now! I hope there still is something left of The Plant after the Oh, s$t!!! This is one cool and unusual plane design, and you succeeded very well with it! I must also add, I greatly appreciate the views of the Wings3D design and construction space you've posted here. I've downloaded the program but just have not had the time to sit down and learn it! Now to warm my frozen toes and fingers. My, Tailspin's really gotten us a COLD spell! -16 C. and damp this evening! I hate to think of what he's done with that torpedo! Keep up the good work! Looking foreward to more Plant design images! :-)

Nice to know that you have a section of "Hmm, what's this?". I still am finding things like "Splendid Cats". OK what is this? Tiger Cats, Hell Cats no they're ships! "What the heck? Brits ought to know which ones. SO...it's now next. Looking good! So have at it. The result by you will be worth it! BTW Just the picture is an excellent TUIT!

Awesome! I worked alongside a "squadron" of Avengers about 20 years ago, still engaging in combat - although the "dreaded enemy" was the forest-devastating Spruce Budworm. Been a fan of TBM's ever since!

Hello Neil! Yep got some of those cryptic & unfathomable type folders, always kind of a surprise. Nice wip on the avenger mate. well done

I kinda have the same thing here except it's a folder of half finished images that never got done. Great to see you revisiting some abandoned projects Neil, keep at it mate. The way things are heading with Rob's remark above all comments will soon come with standard ... "ooh-er missus" innuendo :)

Looks better than my early modelling attempts. Shows that nothing is ever wasted, though sometimes starting from scratch is the only course to take! And always good to have a few irons in the fire too!
