Description

Hayes-Anderson went on to produce one of the most compelling bus designs of its day, the 1936-1937 Hayes Teardrop, which was inspired by the aerodynamic shape of the 1934-1937 Chrysler Airflow. Only 17 Teardrop buses were made, all built exclusively for the Pacific Stage Lines. Before the Second World War, the Hayes Teardrop buses were the pride of the fleet, but such was the advancement of vehicle technology during the conflict, when peace returned, they were decidedly ‘old fashioned’. They quickly were demoted to second-string service as newer vehicles arrived. Pacific Stage Lines #63 was manufactured by Hayes-Anderson in 1937. Thank you, all the people who comment my pictures and support my work. Any of you are REAL friends, now. This 3D model will be soon available on RR for Vue and Poser.

Talk about a blast from the past... Alain....you are one of the best on a very short list of folks I know that can create models of such magnitude. It's always a pleasure when seeing you've uploaded a new model and the variety of which you chose to create is what makes you stand out from those on that very short list i mentioned before....Though I wish I was able to support/afford your work by buying any one of your models to show you that your work does not go without reward.Maybe after the New Year and if my finances change I will then show my appreciation by visiting your collection and go from there...Always an honor to see your latest work my friend!

I've seen this style of bus a few times in my life, but they pretty much have disappeared... maybe cause they didn't have Denver on the side of the bus - lol
