Description

Volume I - Episode 124 Where: Cologne, Germany When: 1 month and 4 days after E-Day, 2:04 pm Krystal stared at the miniferno with wonder. A star! I made a star! Now she just had to figure out what to do with it. She allowed her mind to relax... ... and the miniferno collapsed in on itself. All the air was sucked out of the room. An almighty BOOM! shook the walls. The kiln shattered. Flares of boiling gas flew in every direction. Most bounced harmlessly off the walls and ceiling and were extinguished, but one particularly large/brilliant flare skimmed across the surface of the desk and hit the workbench by the window. The workbench burst into flames. Klaudia was the first to react. "The books!" "No!" Krystal screamed as Klaudia raced to save the magic textbooks from the growing blaze, but it was too late. She lifted the books out of the fire, saw that her hands were wreathed in flame, and screamed in pain and horror. She dropped the books to the floor. Krystal grabbed the fire extinguisher next to the door and doused the workbench in foam. After a few seconds, the only sound in the room was Klaudia's gasps of pain. "Klaudia? Klaudia, are you okay?" Klaudia stood in the far corner of the bedroom, staring at her hands and shaking. Krystal couldn't help but wince. "Oh my God, your hands. Is it bad?" For a long while, Klaudia said nothing. Then she turned around and showed Krystal her palms. There wasn't a mark on them. The look on Klaudia's face said it all. Shock. Bewilderment. Fear. Awe. Krystal knew that complex cocktail of emotions very well - she'd felt the same way when she was nine-years-old. It was, after all, one of the rarest and most life-changing moments of a person's life. The moment they first discover that they're a witch.
