This is a wide shot of M52. An open cluster of stars. I shot these photos in my back yard with a 200mm lens. thanks for viewing.

I'm jealous of your back yard. Even if I DID have the equipment for astrophotography, I'm right under an urban light that is NOTHING BUT light pollution. Oh well...I get to look at your stuff, and that's quite good! I love open clusters: they were kind of ignored for a while, but now astronomers are starting to pay a wee bit more attention to them, assuming less about them and actually gawking at how many of them there actually are. They never actually ignored them, but now I'm seeing more references to them in the astronomical media, and well...that's good. This is great. Keep 'em coming!

Very nice, & interesting that you got some twinkles (sorry can't think what they are called) using a lens; i thought these were an effect from spideR vanes on a reflector...
