Description
Have you ever experienced photographic overload? Sights like this presented themselves repeatedly as we hiked the Elephant Hill Trail at Needles in Canyonlands. We would come around a corner or crest a hill & another spectacular formation would come into view. It actually became a dilemma from a photographic point of view because pretty much everywhere we turned there was something that would ordinarily be well worth taking a shot of & we found ourselves having to become more selective to avoid taking pictures of everything in sight. It's a shame that we couldn't spread out what we saw in one day over the course of a year...

Have you ever experienced photographic overload? YEP! The great thing about photography (I reckon) is that you can look back at places you visit and see things that you missed the first time!

Oh, heavens yes! LOL! I'm afraid I don't do very well at limiting myself, either. Last fall when we drove back to Kansas and Illinois, I took 8,000 photographs in five weeks. When we got home, I didn't touch the camera for a month! This is such a gorgeous spot, it's a wonder you aren't still there, snapping away!

you always know, as a photogapher, when you have hit upon something special such as this area in your case, adrenalin takes over, and in my case a child like excitement, what a hobby.

Yes. And what Tara said. This place would be the death of me, I'd be all over each rock until I was worn out completely! Beautiful shot!

Very colorful and textured striations in this shot. Really sharp in zoom.

An excellent POV and a wonderful look and the ancient sedimentary layers of rock!
