Description

Ernie loves all dogs, and so I got Buster away from his favourite rest-home lady, Doris, to let this gentleman have a cuddle. Buster had a green eye, but after a quick tutorial from Bill I have corrected it. Thankyou Bill! I posted a better portrait of Ernie in June: see that Here

Top notch portrait in the annals of man/dog relations, Andrea. And Buster had a green eye? A condition normally suggestive of envy.

Ernie and Buster, weren't they on Sesame Street? I love these pictures of yours with the boys and old folks. They are so warm and the visits are such a kindness. Lutheran Church Charities's K-9 Parish Comfort Dogs sent five trained golden retrievers to Newtown, Connecticut to help people traumatized by the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20656736_20657586,00.html Bless Ernie and the sacrifices he made to keep us free. If I should die, think only this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field That is for ever England. ~ Rupert Brooke, 1887-1915, 1914 V: The Soldier A very moving service and a spot on interview with the veteran. We tend to do the same here in the States, wait for most of our heros to die before we honor them.

If ever I end up in a nursing home, there better be a dog or cat in residence. Or someone that comes with a pack of dogs. I would hate to not have a 4 footed friend about. Ther is such a look of joy and peace in these folks eyes when they are snuggled with one of your pups. I love that you post these pictures.
