Description
A slightly wider canyon than in my last posting, in which someone took the time to place some cairns on the rock ledges. Some of the narrow canyons had forks & side branches that went off for a short distance & it wasn't always obvious which way led back out to the trail we were on, so it took a little trial & error & hiking down some dead ends to find our way out of some of them. Fortunately, they weren't long enough to get us into real trouble (unlike those in the Maze section of Canyonlands, which I've heard are huge & in which you can literally get lost)...

Beautiful picture. I hate to see the carelessly placed cairns. Surely the first one built was enough.

People stack rocks like this everywhere, I suppose. We found them at the beach last spring, as well. It's a lovely way to interact with the beauty around you without leaving a permanent mark! I like this very much.

Wonderful small cairns :)

An excellent POV and capture - I could handle this area and the biggest obstacle in the Maze was the thousands of blood thirsty sand fleas.
