" Wake up little one "
" Wake child "
Lilith opened her eyes, squinting she took a moment to focus. The place seemed familiar to her, but strange at the same time, distant, almost as if it were..
" Lilith "
That voice again, but from where ?
" Lilith, it is time "
" Where are you ?....who are you ?...where AM I ? ", Lilith shouted to the sky. " Time for what ?...WHERE AM I ? ". Getting frustrated Lilith tried to move but she seemed held in place, not uncomfortable or threatened, just held, like slow motion.
" Where am i ?" she repeated
The voice came again , a soft lilting voice, almost musical, floating all around her
" You are safe. You are at your crossroads Lilith "
" Crossroads, what crossroads ? "
" Between your past and your future "
" I don't understand, am i dead ?, who are you ? "
A soft laugh filled the air, like water tumbling from a waterfall, the sound of the wind in the trees
" You are not dead child, merely safe. As for who i am it does not matter "
" Of course it matters !!!...i was in the clearing and now i am here..OF COURSE IT MATTERS !! "
" I am everything, i am everyone..i am the universe..i have no name, but if it makes you more comfortable then call me Mother "
" My Mother died when i was young ".
" Then call me Sister , it matters not "
The air seemed to shift around her, a warm breeze, then cool, she shivered slightly..then warm again, The light did not change, that golden glow.
" what do you want from me ? "
" It is not I that wants anything from you, it is your future."
" I don't understand "
" You were born for a purpose Lilith,your path was set a long time ago..it is now up to you to walk that path or to stay on the one you are on "
" Why me, what have i done "
" You have done nothing other than live your life Lilith"
Confused Lilith could only listen.
" How will i know what to do, how can i choose when i don't know what it is that i am choosing "
" You will know in your heart "
" Is this to do with the war ? "
" You will know "
" You said i was safe, then why can i not stay here and do nothing ? "
" You can stay if you like, time will not pass, here or anywhere else...but eventually you must choose Lilith "
" And what if i decide not to choose anything , what will happen then ? "
" Nothing "
Lilith sighed.A spark of recognition started to smoulder within her.
