We all have hopes and wishes, strangely enough always at the end of the year and even considering some changes, starting as soon as the fireworks are over ...
Dream on, I say - it doesn't work!
But I will always remember the profound quotes and pearls of wisdom by W.G.P. (William George Plunkett): "That list of 'NEW YEARS Resolutions' you made last year can be used again, it's as good as new" ;)
(and my desk calendar tells me so!)

Excellent quote and a superb image, Brigitte! I don't really make resolutions, but I have made one of my lodgers promise to carry out one for the new term..he is going to say Please and Thankyou occasionally!

I've never been tempted to make a New Year's resolution - if you need a particular calendar date to spur you to make a change in your life, chances are you're not really committed to it - change needs to come from inner motivation. But what do I know, everyone's different, so if it works for you, go for it! Anyway, best wishes to you for a great 2013...
