Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

The reflection of the light and clouds on the water is just gorgeous. It was worth you getting wet! LOL! :)

Fab! a wonderful photo. The dogs and I got so wet yesterday after setting out in the dry, that I had to put my trousers in the dryer, along with 6 towels I'd used on the pack!

What a beautiful little clearing; the colours are stunning. Sorry you got soaked, that's happened to me lately too!

Fabulous contrasts and general effects in this photo, Maz; looks almost like a monotone.

WOW! Those clouds add an extra zing to this shot. The mood is fantastic and it has a real sense of anticipation to it. Clouds do tend to do that a lot, don't they. I'd probably get soaked just for a shot like this too. I love the contrasts and the fact that so much of the visual action also takes place in the dark bits of the image or in the interesting shades of gray. Ah...so much of life is like that and that's what keeps it fun!
