I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Cool! Um, cold.

WAY cool! I'm glad you got enough snow to start building ... and really glad you took a picture for us! :D

That's great. Anytime I see sculpture in snow, I have to stop and look. It's one of my favorite temporary mediums.

LOL great stuff.

This is great! It has me thinking about The City on the Edge of Forever with wood siding in the background. Needless to say, that's a good thing. I really like your hands-on approach to art: either building things or stacking things as well as rendering/digi-painting them. This looks like quite a bit of fun and it looks like you got more snow than we did. I think we got...um...maybe 3 inches...spread out over a few days. Ah, but we got ice...we got crunchy grass, as only you can get in Chicago. Oh, how fun! I love this shot. Feel free to build more of these.

Looks pretty solid and large, may last a good while! I bet you smile real big every time you look at it. ;) Have a safe and happy New Year!

This is absolutely beyond cool, Mike! I have to say you're braver man than I! We've got about 4 inches the stuff on the ground here, and if I could find a way to ship you some I would! LOL! Hope you have an awesome 2013 my friend! Looking forward to more of your great renders, and photos..... And stacked rocks! LOL

Quite a contrast to your stone sculptures,Mike. This snow construction is so transitory as compared to seeming eternity of the latter. Hope your muscles didn't get too sure.

It's all interesting, but I like the view from the road the best.
