Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This has such a nice "zoom" shape to it...a really elegant swoosh, at least visually. The absence of people in this shot makes it a bit poignant, and yet humans ARE responsible for the tracks. This is so well seen. I like the mood it has a lot. It kinda looks like they go right into the water.

There is an advantage to that on a long beach. I like your shot! So next time you see one, just hold out your thumb and I'll bet they would be happy to give you a lift into the unknown. What do you have to lose?

Chipka worded it so eloquently and I totally agree. Thank you for sharing

Tracks always make me think of adventures unknown ...

Expensive toys they have :) It could be dangerous driving on the beach sands...someone could be covered with sand and those 4 Wheeler not see them. Aloha

Hmmm! I think it would annoy me.

Nice work. I like the minimalist feel to this shot. Well done

Yes, I was also struck by the swoosh, it's so perfect! Great POV!

Gives what "would" of been a rather dull image a fantastic addition of contrast from being what once was undisturbed....One could see this being annoying if one was run over or in your case not being picked up for a ride....lol... My beach is currently under 2 feet of snow and ice so I'll just admire yours for awhile.... ~smiles~

Whoever or whatever left quite a neat and sharp impression and curvature in the sand.

The angle of the light is just right ... those shadows are great! I agree with Wayne. Put your thumb out and hop a ride!

I love a beach in winter when 99% of the people aren't there. This has a moonscape feel to it if you were to brush the water off the horizon:) A very fetching composition.

A very cool curve in the tracks moving on down to the water's edge!
