Description

This is what I called an "artwork revival" because I started with something I had created before (in this case back in 2011) and updated, enhanced, and improved it to make it brand new again. I've been doing a number of these lately because I find it relaxing and because I just want to clear out the old 2011 artworks from my gallery but couldn't say goodbye to certain ones completely... so I remade them better. This one is called "Forbidden" because it's about the forbidden love between Queen Guinevere and Sir Lancelot of the King Arthur legends. Forbidden is one of my all time favorite artworks but some people misinterpreted the original. For that reason, I reposed the characters to look far more romantic and more importantly, mutual. Other than that, I improved some other elements and details then postworked it in a brand new way. I love this new version! Thank you to all who comment on and favorite this artwork! I greatly appreciate each and every one and wish I could respond to you all but this gallery doesn't have that function, sadly. So I say thank you here. Hearing your feedback means a lot to me. :)

I haven't seen the old version but I really do love this new one. The romantic historical look is spot on, the partner posing is super well executed and the soft postworking you have done enhances the beauty of their interaction. Well done. It is quite fun to go back and rework pieces.... as sort of a self test to see how you are moving in the media. A link to the previous image would be a nice touch so we could share the experience.
