Description

...amuse me, in some perverse way. Who is it they think they are, and what is it they think they're doing? ***** Just saw some news that a Shell Oil rig has 'crashed' hear the coast of Alaska. Not sure what the details are as yet. Sigh.... Some won't be happy until they've made utter toast out of our world - no matter the cost :( ***** Background is one of Angel's freebies. Thank you Angel! I think I've posted LilAna before, but I've done a few things to her in the meantime. Her name means 'spirit of the sky'.

On New Year's Day, a Shell Oil rig, carrying over 150,000 gallons of petroleum products, broke free from its tugboat and ran aground near Kodiak Island, Alaska. Last year, Shell came close to drilling for oil in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas - also known as the Polar Bear Seas because they are home to 20% of the world's polar bear population. But Shell showed it was completely unprepared for the reality of the stormy waters of the Arctic Ocean. Shell’s ships caught fire, the spill clean-up equipment was destroyed during testing, and at the last minute, Shell admitted it wouldn't be able to comply with its clean air permits.

Humans. They can be a bit dense at times, but I still love them and have hope for them. Yeah, they drop the ball and occassionaly screw things up, but the universe is a better place for having them in it. Still a relatively young race, comparitively speaking, so they still need to grow up a little. But they are capabale of greatness and kindness and will eventually get it right! Don't give up on them.

What a great look. As if she is contemplating dirty deeds to the CEO of Shell. Money is, after all, the only thing that really matters. >:( Sigh...

I have little use for our species... a waste of space as far as I'm concerned for the most part. There are those who want to just live a good clean life, but those are the one's in the worst position to do so. We have a penchant for destroying all we see. We are unlike any other animal on the planet and the only one with evil intent and the ability to waste the entire place.

Wonderful character and portrait.....as for Shell, get rid of all the cars and the world will slow down a bit...and hey presto, no need for the fat cats to go screwing the planet any more..That's half the problems of this world. Greed for OIL !!!!!. Oh and there are better, cleaner alternatives it is just that there is so much revenue tied up with oil and oil related products that they will never let the alternatives see the light. Sorry, one of my biggest pet HATES, and clocks, that's another thing where we went wrong as a species, if we did not have clocks and the need to be on time then we would all still be living at natures pace and be far better off for it !!!!!!!

I adore her make-up, Ray, she looks kinda disappointed at the idiots from Shell who made yet another disgusting mess in an area so eco-sensitive =( when will it stop? Gorgeous portrait, my friend!

She is beautiful! Her skin glows fantastic! A very nice work! Yes, these insane oil tanker! Just because so a few greedy need to drive their big SUVs, others must pay the bill for this. Mother Earth is crying bitter tears certainly ... When will the madness end?

Humans.....Their still has to be "some" hope for us as I would like to believe....Not all are cut from the same cloth and then their are those that are like myself and "we" are a dying breed indeed.......you rememeber the type...those that still open doors for others, walk elderly across the streets, remember to say Thank You and Your Welcome when required,Yes Ma'am,Yes Sir,respect your elders...Ahhh humans....in there perverse way.....once upon a time....there more than one could count and throughout the years the new generations have lost their way and where they come from and words like "tradition"....."Values"...mean little if anything anymore it seems. If ever there was an invasion of sorts from a foreign body other than this solar system then I hope upon arriving they don't judge the actions of a selective few as the way we do things here because then folks like me that are a dying breed won't be able to carry on the traditions that once thrived amongst us all once upon days gone by......

I haven't bought Shell gasoline in years. These are the guys who are destroying the Nigerian Gulf and Niger Delta and bringing that country to the brink of civil war. Exxon is bad but Gulf just has total arrogance and no matter how many times they screw up they just go back and do it again and again. All their money goes into paying hush up lawyers and hardly an iota for oil spill control and disaster relief. LilAna looks great with that striking makeup and those intense purple glossy lips.

A wonderfully sinister image. I can easily picture this wily looking and beautiful mystic looking at us through some scrying device considering our fate. Excellent character and work. When things have to change, I imagine they will. It's too bad the powers that be would rather wait for the last minute, instead of easing into change. All the employees of the oil business have to be transitioned in to new energy jobs over time. Imagine if we suddenly stopped everything with oil now! Regardless, creation and implementation of alternative energy sources is long overdue. I feel like we've turned a corner now and I hope it's in the right direction. Or maybe my cynicism is giving way to optimism? We have a long way to go.

What a beautiful lady! And I can't help wondering along with her.... What are we doing?? One day perhaps we as a species will figure out there are other ways to create energy.... Hopefully before we destroy the planet... Absolutely gorgeous work, Ray!
