My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

I'm with Mike ... this looks like home! Excellent capture. I've had a similar experience (in Kansas), but the pictures didn't turn out quite so well as this one!!

Home, home on the range...:) Beautiful capture Clive. Yes, this could be many places in the USA. You and your SONY make a good team.

A very clear capture of this wonderful rural scene with its curious cows.

A fine composition - that expanse of clear blue sky with clouds on the horizon give this a very wide open & appealing feel...

Great capture yet they do look kinda noisy the one with the horns I believe is a bull... be glad you didn't have on the color red red I always heard makes them charge and run after your butt:) Hugs Susan~

If you had told me this was Wyoming or Montana I would not have blinked! Beautiful rule of thirds cropping gives a classic feel. Lovely sweep of skyline with clouds and of course the critters are spot on characters too.
