UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

they might as well have posted a sign stating 'No Trespassers! - survivors will be prosecuted!' they could also posted a sign stating - No fun allowed here! Go Away! Great capture and I love the guard

Gotta love that bird---

Love the title! :) Those are pretty big birds. I wouldn't want one coming after me for an infraction! I must say, though, those rules make a lot of sense. You don't want to kill the tourist trade because they didn't know about the tide and went in head first into two feet of water! Fishing/crabbing lines and incoming pleasure boats aren't a good mix, either. I suppose the size sign it would take to explain all that would be a bit overmuch. Maybe just posting a threatening gull like this IS the best way! LOL! Great capture! :)

There are a lot of rules posted, I think there are even more on the Kirkland marina docks. Oh well, whatever you don't post someone will do, right? Excellent capture of this intimidating law enforcement!
jendellas
I think he was there to do a bit of fishing :o)

OH GEEES! What am I going to do now? LOL! Awesome shot :D

Haaaa! This really got to me! I hope that sea gull can read because the sign describes everything a sea gull does! And, for the uninformed - having a sea gull attack is NO fun at all! They precision dive bomb their target and let out a LOT of poop on demand, and are very accurate on hitting the target! I've seen this on video, where sea gulls guarding their young poop-bombed an eagle. When it flew away, there was gull poop flying off its wings like water. Very fun with the gull sitting on top of the signs. Keep up the good work! :-) And watch you head!

This is absolutely priceless, Bill! I'm visualizing a thought cloud above that bird that says something like "no photographing the birds, either!" LOL!

Great shot Bill. He must have taken a break from enforcing and instead is watching you!
