Description
Let me start by saying "YES, I do feel and accept, partial responsibility for yesterdays events".Having done such a brilliant job as a tour guide, I told 'Tailspin' he would get to shake down Fireball XL5.He spent the next couple of hours going over it, getting a feel of the controls and layout. This is where my guilt comes in, in my quest for detail I included 'Hoverbikes'....and 'Tailspin' found them.He came to my office and said he was nipping into town for some Marathon bars for the flight and he'd be back in ten minutes. This should have alerted me straight away, it's a 22 mile round trip to Snotting-on-the-Wold....apparently the Hoverbike does 140mph with 'horses to spare'.Well 'Tailspin' should have seen it coming, I've told him about Council Ordinance 22763/3451/b often enough! Given the nature of our 'output' we have to notify the Council of each new project, and with 'Tailspins' track record, they reserve the right to claim a duplicate of what ever we're building for the purposes of self defence. Our local peace keeper WPC Gloria Wellstacked requested a Hoverbike for her traffic duties. The Wellstacked family have been important land owners here abouts since the Norman conquest and they helped me greatly when it came to finding land to build 'The Plant' on.So of course I bowed to Gloria's request, I mean, given the circumstances, I'd never say no to a Wellstacked woman.
'Tailspin' returned 2 hours later, released on bail, to appear before the Magistrate a week on Monday. He's been charged with...speeding, reckless endangerment, failing to stop at a five bar gate, alarming the populace and most seriously in these parts...frightening the chickens. Most painful for 'Tailspin' though, they've suspended his license...so it looks like I get to take XL5 out.So just another day at 'The Plant'...at least with his license revoked, 'Tailspin' can't get into any more trouble for a week or so......can he???
