I do not know what flying honeycomb means, but that is a real nice scene.

Nice background on this, Neil. Man those guys surely had to dress warm. Frostbite was probably well known to those aviators.

I'm guessing it is a term translated from Russian referring to a standard attack formation?

Oooooohh! Thank you! :D I'm thrilled to see the IL-2 flying with my favorite little Rata. Maybe this summer Flying Heritage will have a Russian Plane Day. They fly their warbirds when the weather is nice, just to keep them happy. Wouldn't that be a wonderful thing to see? If they do fly the Russians, you'll have to pop over and see the show! :D Thanks again, my friend, and thanks for playing! This has been lots of fun.

Great way to show off these two outstanding models of yours. We have three pilots for the Il-2 here. Steve Hinton and two others. They all say the Il-2 flys just like its nickname...flying tank...not really fun to fly. What it really wants to do is come down and stay down:)

Like the snowy background but looks like they are flying over England rather than Mothe Roosha. Heh
