My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wonderful capture looks like what happened to my mom's hydrangea

I really like the fact that this shot invites you into it; there are nooks and crannies, planes, curves, and cool stuff. I love the colors; they remind me of pulp before it's rendered into paper. The initial colors are fading, but other colors are showing up and interacting interestingly. This contains a wealth of interesting, hypnotic details.

Beautiful macro.

Yes--death can be beautiful--my yard is full of dead & dying bougeanvilla blossoms -- so lovely on the green grass----great shot.

Ooh, stunning shot here; I love the texture on the petals, especially where the bone structure starts showing through. Nicely done.

I know how they feel. Almost gone and still beautiful. Outstanding capture. They look like a collection of butterflies.

They look like butterflies. Lovely shot and thanks for sharing!

If only we aged so well. You have so successfully produced a picture of elderly elegance. Superb.

Amazing shot! You know, it would be easy to add some bodies and antennae to make this look like a swarm of moths or butterflies! It's half-way there already.

The colour may be fading, but not the beauty. Gorgeous!

Very sweet colors, superb image!

Flowers are beautiful in full bright bloom, but as your photo demonstrates, beauty can be found at all stages of the life cycle if you know how to look. I think that probably applies to humans as well & maybe even to everything...

Nearly a japanese painting :)

It still looks beautiful.

Beautiful even at an old age. Almost dying (at least the flowers) and still intruiging.
