A Balls canning jar. I've had a lot of Mayhaw jelly out of these, canned by my sister, Janice, though they were simpler, and more modern jars. Beautiful postwork!

A really cool and colorful manipulation, Mike! It looks like one of those old time candy jars that has little wire clip to hold the lid on. I have a few of those sitting around myself! :-)
