This is an old picture of my grandmother when she was a little girl. She is the girl standing with the pony in the middle. I just love these old time photos.

As do I...as an amateur historian, I find moments like these tell us far more than the sagas of great leaders and warriors and earth-shaking geo-political events. It's also interesting to see our grandparents in their youth. I remember seeing a photo of a really cute, bright-eyed girl with a flapper "bob", taken around 1925 - then realized it was my grandmother, still young and innocent, everything ahead of her...thanks for sharing. Ca. 1900?
