Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Oh I love both Expressions, she is very beautiful with such a kind little face. My dogs always sit where I want to sit, when I tell them to go they look at me as if I lost my mind lol.

Such a sweetie! Both shots of her are great. Guess you have to find a new spot to sit. :)

I love the slightly acusatory tone. She sure is adorable! :)

And I bet she wont move either. An excellent capture.

A slightly softer look in this one, not sure if she is asking to stay, semi-apologizing for being in your spot and letting you know she's not moving anyway, or just telling you what a comfy spot this is. So did you let her stay there and find another place to sit? Going to look at the Flickr one now.
wysiwig
"Do you really have to sit here NOW? Don't you have something else to do?" I know how it goes. She may share the seat but reluctantly. An adorable little girl.

They both look great but I think I prefer the one you didn't put in your gallery. It really doesn't matter because she is an angel anyway, just wonderful, hugs Jane xx

They have a sense for that. Mine always lies in my spot on the bed, always! What a wonderful full-face portrait of your girl. Mine was just looking over my shoulder as I opened this, and she was most curious!

Soo Cute...
Glendaw
Both pics. are so cute. Like how she is looking up at you here looking so apologetic. Lol the second one seems to be saying she isn't going to move. Thanks for sharing Andrea.
Chipka
Both pics are amazing! I like this one because Rosie looks so...well...uninterested in moving, whereas in the pic on Flikr, she looks a bit more interested in the camera! I love the expressions animals habitually produce, and it's clear evidence that something is going on in those doggie (and catty) minds! Brilliant shot. I love the way it makes me smile.

Superb capture Andrea. God Bless.
Crabbycabby
Great shot.

You did the first and most important thing, getting down to the dog's level, as did Clive in the shot uploaded just after yours! Excellent shots, both of them! I think the other one is a bit sharper.
dakotabluemoon

Why am I not surprised, lovely pics of Rosie!!
