My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Superb capture Tara. God Bless.

Some rail lines have been retrofited to make the trains quieter. This is a really cool image though it could scare the hell out of you if it suddenly came up on you through the fog.

It took me a minute to realize what is going on and then the mist cleared and I could see! A great capture Tara.

Beach and train so close nearby? - how amazing! wouldn't they give a sound with a foghorn for a warning? What a superb composition, luck was on your side - but also skill, to know when to go click ... great timing! brill pic, if you ask me - in fact it is so good, it has become an instant FAV! BB

Very nice capture in the fog Tara.

BNSF got it right...three headlights...not two, not four. Me not getting this shot was a function of the 6D not focusing fast enough. Glad you worked this up...very moody. I love it.

Maybe it was a ghost train, Tara. A fabulous capture :-)
jocko500
might be a ghost train you saw and photography. no sound lol.

The fact that you only see the one car, the engine, with its three lights (a magical number, of course) means that this must surely be a special express that goes nowhere dull and normal. That's why you didn't hear it, all of its sounds are in another dimension, to be sure. What eerie lighting and fantastic atmosphere you captured here! Wow!

An absolutely wonderful photo, Tara.... Perhaps it was the ghost train in the fog!

Fantastic capture Tara. I wouldn't be surprised it makes it to the LWITG! It should! As to the ride in April? - a very good chance - with the top down!
