Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

You put this under the photography section, but it looks like a painting. Did you paint this and if so what media did you use. Is it gouache or watercolor? It is very well rendered. You captured the light so well. It is as if I were there myself. This really is an amazing piece of art. Thank you for sharing. 5++++

I like the way this looks so much like an almost impressionistic painting. It's impressionistic in that...well...it's impressions of a scene, but it's not full of those little-bitty strokes. I love the colors and the roundness of the round bits and the ochers and reds really pop. This is something that just grabs the eye and I love it. Like the one you posted before it, this has a nice open feeling to it.

The light really is gorgeous. I love the way it turns the bushes to that beautiful burgandy-brown, and the golds are a perfect compliment. A beautiful image, and I love your impressionistic postwork choices. Superb result!
