Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I love driftwood in the garden. And this photo looks like a garden of driftwood. :)

I should do the same! Fascinating surface.

Now that's a game that could take all day. I like what the ocean does to drift wood but we don't get any here in Los Angeles.

I admit to the same habit and I see I am in good company!

Looks like some rough surf was agitating that beach! Cool shot!

I remember that game, trying to pick up sticks without the pile falling/moving. Interesting shot. Aloha

Well seen & captured...

A familiar sight! :) I love all those sticks. Taking driftwood off the beach is prohibited here in Washington, so I'm a little scandalized that you loaded some up and took it home to your garden!! :P (I'll still love you ... I know it's okay down there ... it's just a mental habit.) :D

I love scenes like these! I love just exploring stuff washed up somewhere; there's always something to see, play with, or just get all googly over. I love the light in this shot and the way all of the patterns and shadows just dance and jiggle around. This is really excellent. Now I wanna see what you loaded into your truck and took home. Actually, I wanna see who will be living under it next summer! This is brilliant!
