Description

Captured 5/16/10, mid morning, at the beautiful 16th Annual Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival, held at the beautiful Muckenthaler Cultural Center in beautiful Fullerton, California. A foto of this auto was previously posted back in 2010, but didn't receive the full exposure then that I'm set to display now. These are just five of a total of 35 shots I took of this beauty, which offered so many cool components and facets that I couldn't stop shooting. Drunk with fascination, I became so carried away with this regal vehicle that I sometimes did repeats of the same view. Hence, no sense showing all thirty-five of the fotos. The hood ornament above represents the Roman God, Mercury, the ancient precursor of today's UPS and FedEx delivery systems. I even took three or four pics of that. With that pose he reminds me of a runner in a relay race. The Greek God equivalent of Mercury is Hermes. That said, this is just the first collage I'm presenting of this exquisite roadster. As usual, a ZOOM is highly recommended for better detail. And please excuse the high contrast in the bottom photo. I tried to postwork it out but to no avail. Sayonara, and have a nice day.

Very impressive. I can see why you took so many shots of this one. It must have been a photographers dream, walking around all those vintage cars.

Oh my, this is such a spectacular beauty, Harry! And I'd love to find one of those hood ornaments, it would make a great statue in its own right. Your shots show so many of the wonderful details that make this car such a work of love; and that trunk reminds me of an artist's box, with different compartments for different media and brushes, etc. And those big wide white sidewall tires are to die for! Well captured, and I can easily see why you were so entranced!

Beautiful captures of this terrific classic. For its age, it appears to be pristine. I especially like the alien crossing his arms that you captured on the right of image #1. The high contrast of the last image works well against the trunk which is meant to be the main subject matter. Well done again.
