Description
The January challenge topic in the Writer's Gallery is "Best Friends." Thanks to Jeff for coming up with a monthly topic! This one was more difficult than you might think. There doesn't seem to be much to say when everything is going well. :)

You appeared one day
Out of the wild blue yonder
Interesting photography
Cutie picture on your bio page
With that fancy jet
Aviator shades
And I thought,
"Too bad ...
He looks a bit too military
And seems to be interested
Only in guy things."
You know,
Like you do
No intention behind the thought
... just noticing
December, 2008
You were more interesting
Than I had originally guessed
Conversation back and forth
There was more to you than
Airplanes
Summer, 2009
A bunch of us are meeting in
Chicago
Would you like to join us?
Plans were in place
Major surgery
Kept you at home
We had a blast
But you were missed

That first night we talked
For over four hours
You thought you'd never have
Another thing to say

Endless conversation
Hours and hours
Every evening
The first time you flew out
Was for a week
Which became two
Everyone loved you
(Especially me)

You packed up the car
The dog
Made it here in record time
To start our new life together

We knew we had to invite
Everybody
Or nobody
So we chose nobody
Two witnesses
And a minister
Just enough
To make it legal

Three years of
Adventure
Fun
Laughter
My life is so much better
With you
Than without you
I wish I had words
That didn't sound pat

Geese with blue bows

This is so excellent. It makes a nice Gwotian entu only it isn't on a leaf or a stone or a piece of found wood. Of course a traditional "declarative" sort of entu or groups of them would be written in a book with pages of rough, hand-made paper, but with a number of blank pages in the back, because, as everyone knows, entus are never finished. That's the point. And now, as I dip back into this world...which is a bit farther away from Gwot, I will say that this piece of work has triggered so many thoughts and feelings, and that's always a good thing. I love what's stated, and more, what's implied. Friends are like that, and to marry one is even better! Brilliant writing! I love it!

Omg, how did I miss this? I remember all those steps; we talked about them and I remember one day you said, "no way can this work" and the next day you said, "yes, it can". and it has.....so very, very well!!!!!
