My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Well said! They do seem to be standing at the edge. Excellent composition.

Infinity reduced to 100 yards. A day only fit for birds to fly. Visitors to the beach on a day like this seem to really see each other. Families and friends gather more closely. Pets stay nearer to their masters. Your image and your title do go hand-in-hand. Thanks for enabling me to see something I haven't seen before. Powerful photo:*

I love that silvery sky and fog-whitened sun! The people and the humans in this shot are such a marvelous touch as well. This whole image simply shimmers with a mood that is at once, hard to describe, and yet so inviting. I love fog. There's a particular kind of existential silence that always accompanies fog. It reminds me of some of the fog I lived with in the Czech Republic...it was always there turning the sky silver. This is quite a powerful shot, as Bill says.

You caught that at 14 mm, just slap on a 100 mm lens and there goes all their intimacy, LOL! No, the fog is nice to work with and those living with it daily can find it depressing but I almost never see any!

Love that feeling of being in the fog....Everything seems so quiet and peaceful. Aloha

Again such a magical picture. Fog gives pictures atmosphere. So how a dense touch with words.

Fantastic image! :)

Beautiful image.

Great shot with the sun peeking threw the fog...I myself hate fog especially when it hangs around for a week or two.

I have always looked at fog as being most romantic. :)))) Love the silhouettes, and the sweet sunshine trying to burn its way through. :)))) Most excellent capture my friend. :))))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :))) Carry A Warm Smile In Your Heart :))))))

An excellent capture of this foggy scene and you even got some birds in it too.

Beautifully seen! There is definitely an intimacy to fog: all the sounds are muted and seem to cluster around the source, and everything seems softened blurred in such an appealing way. Masterful capture!

Great composition - it stands out from the crowd as your unique way of seeing things. And I love fog too - we've had some real thick fog mornings lately...
