Description

A smaller mockup of Takeoff on Cloud Deck done as a practice piece in Lightwave. Use a picture as the back drop, Dof using the Digital Confusion plugin that comes with LW. Like the original Carrara version better, since I am much more use to it and ofcouse, love Carrara, but wanted to start expanding my work into LW too. Copying the scene gave me a focus instead of just playing with tools in Lightwave. Anyway, here it is. ** Lightwave/Carrara/Starhawk imported to Lightwave.

Yes looks nice, but I still prefer the lighting effects in your Carrara version.

Are you talking about 'Takeoff on Cloud Deck'? That one is much better in mood and realism. Imho in this version the DOF doesn't add depth but gives the impression of a blurred backdrop. Well, I'm a Carrara-lover, too. ;)

I agree. I am much more familiar with Carrara's toolset to allow me to achieve images closer to what I see in my mind's eye. I hope, over time, to become as familar and comfortable with Lightwave.
