My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Let's hope it stays clear of litter. We had a similar, but much less attractive, water feature in one of our shopping areas and it was removed after vandalism and rubbish made it an eyesore. I seem to recall 'Godiva' from a previous pic and can't remember if they sell knickers or chocolate. Most likely the latter as Lady Godiva is famous for going commando.

I love the backlighting. This has me thinking of those episodes of the Classic Star Trek with the oh-so-modern art, generally of an...um...upright nature. This makes me think of that, only without people walking around in those William Ware Theiss costumes with the off the shoulder swoop for the women-folk and odd, moderately-symmetrical turtleneck/overalls ensembles for the men. And that semi-transporter sound effect that all of the alien planets had. Sometimes I wish real life had those kinds of sound effects. Needless to say, the fountain has something of an otherworldly vibe to it, in just the way that I like. I mean, who needs a fountain full of round-bottom cherubs and dragons spewing water? The sun peeking from behind the tallest part is a brilliant touch, and the smaller fountain bits, with their water-filled...um...fountain parts, are really well captured. I want one of these! Well, maybe a smaller version as I don't have much room. I love this shot. Oh...and there's chocolate!

I first thought they were seats, but a bit sharp I think, interesting.

It would look awesome if it were transported to a bare rocky landscape...very "2001"... you got the eerie lighting just right in this shot, cool indeed!

Ok, I see the monolith. I see the sun. Where are the apes? An outstanding capture. The lens flares and that little bit of light refraction really add to the image.

Great title! Well thought of.... lol And this is a cool looking fountain, I don't mind fountains in a modern style, water can take to any form well... Nice one! Rob

That's a really cool shot of a delightful sculpture, Tara! Wow, I'll bet this looks awesome at night - I'm assuming they have lights inside those stones..
