Lovely. I don't have one like this. What do you use it for? I only really fish in the surf. VERY rarely do I get the chance to fish in fresh water.

If I were a fish, I'd probably think that this looks tasty! Since I'm not a fish, I won't be taken in by that dot of red business going on, but I will go so far as to say that the title fits perfectly, and as one of those human sorts of people I'd also go so far as to say what a cool piece of jewelry this would make, without the pointy hook bit, but I'm sure that somebody somewhere might actually be into that. Have you also noticed that it has a nice Flash Gordon kind of "strato-sled" kinda shape going on: they always looked like the offspring of rockets mated with blimps! And that reminds me, if you're not using it to fish with, it might come in handy against Ming the Merciless! Or not! This is one of those fun sorts of images that just sends my mind off in all sorts of ludicrous directions, and that's quite a good thing. And now I have a question: just what sorts of fish would this be used for? I love the fact that it's just hanging there. What a fun shot! Great color and light! It has a warm feel to it.

Fishing lures are a mystery to me, and I'm in awe of the fact that you have a favorite. Of course when you and I first met you didn't have a favorite fishing lure, and I didn't have a favorite airplane. On the other hand, we both smile a lot more now, so it has to be a good thing! :D I sort of liked the green one from yesterday, 2nd from the left, but this one is very nice! I can't imagine what that thing is on the bottom ... the look thing that looks like you might hang another lure from it. Like I say ... very mysterious!

It looks like a tiny golden blimp. I tried fishing when I was young. All I had were worms. Never caught a thing.

I agree with Chip, it does have a Flash Gordon-esque kind of feel to it. And I love it for that. Also for the fact that it's so shiny and brightly colourful (the magpie in me, I guess). I'd totally steal it and just keep it in my nest (after carefully removing the hook bit, of course!) and look at it every day with great satisfaction. Wonderful photo of your favourite lure, Marilyn!
