Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

They are very smart and fast. We have her cousins here, the quiscalus mexicanus, AKA Zanate, and they have adapted brilliantly to life in the city. This capture is great, Dana. Great sharpness and DOF. And her attitude of expectation is amazing. No driver of Nascar is so alert to the starting flag, as this bird waiting yours carelessness.

Such a sleek thief! This is a great shot, Dana. Worth a bit of bait for a sitter like that.

Beautiful bird, It looks a bit like our Magpies but they are Black and white and don't come very close but will take anything you put out for the other birds.

I am liking her colors! I have not seen many around here but lots in Texas when visiting my daughter, none colored this way though! They seem much like Magpies in their habits.
