Description

Wish I could spend a little of each day here at Renderosity. The day's seem to slip through my fingers no matter how hard I try to hold on. Such is life sometimes... The link below will take you to the last post in this series back in October. In the last post along the right margin, there is a jumble of boulders. Some of which are in shadow. I have climbed over that jumble of rocks in order to reach the next beach in today's image. Looking out towards open ocean the sea stacks are there from the last image. The larger of the two stacks has a partial flat top. The white washing along it's top is due to visitation from many types of sea birds. The white water coming through the cave that has been cut right through it's center is indeed a breaker. (enjoy the full view) The smell of the salt air, and the sounds of the surging surf. While watching the waves come through this sea stack captivated my attention for some time. Wanted to stay on this quiet little getaway of a beach all day, but knew the tide was coming in. If I were to get back over the boulders and start hopping the three beaches back to where I began, I would have to go soon. Now before anyone starts jumping on the "This is dangerous" band wagon. I am no stranger to the wilderness or the sea, I do know what I'm doing. Yes, it is dangerous, if you are a stranger to this type of hiking or the sea(enough said). To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! thumb_2378444.jpg

No place to get 'shored' in a boat. Those are some treacherous looking rocks but it is a very cool image. Great capture, Dana.

Great shot of this rugged coast. That rock looks like it was sheared off by some great saw.

Beautiful image and interesting narrative. You had me there with you in this gorgeous place. Wonderful capture of the water. I can almost see it moving among the rocks. I love the colors in the water, patterns of blue and brown.

this is one stunning image. It makes me think of the sort of alien world I'd love to write about--a hospitable, visually stunning place. I love those rocks and their natural jumble. You photograph the natural world so perfectly.
