Chinese lanterns at our favorite Chinese restaurant. Left side with flash. Right side no flash. I like the no flash side with its softer colors and no shadows. Photo taken last December. Do zoom. I prefer the no flash Its a lot softer although I would have burnt in the bottom two globes a bit to darken them and possibly dodged the ceiling at the top to lighten. and I love a Chinese takeaway.

I think I agree with you on the no-flash side; it gives that warm, cozy feeling many Chinese restaurants have.
