Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I'm looking at the crashing water there and wondering how close they are to rocks or shore.

Our fishing boats this size don't have that tall structure around the mast.

Sometimes I miss fishing alone at nights. Nice shot. Aloha

Nice capture with the usual hangers on waiting for any scraps. It does look a bit close to shore.

I wonder what they caught.

That sea looks a bit on the rough side, what a tough job that must be! Wonderful capture!

I'm a little worried that they're so close, too. Well ... I'll go fishin' with somebody else! LOL!

...And a big bird too! I keep wondering what kind of boat this might be. I love the mystery of big ships, either fishing boats, industrial boats of some sort...or just odd floating things. I love that you can see the people, but they're not really revealing much of what they're doing...this opens up so many stories, but then so many of your photos do that. I really like this!
