Description

This is the ET gang as we were going into Nagasaki Japan in 1966. Note that we were in dress blues, but in Hong Kong we were in dress whites. Different dress uniforms for different seasons. Enjoy! Thanks for all the previous comments, ratings and favorites.

Ah the good old days! At least we looked like sailors then!! Have you seen the new rig they are running around in now??? Blue jarhead suits instead of dungarees, and gyrene shirts/blouses with black trousers instead of undress blues. When the buggers do wear their raghats, they look like they were all stamped from the same mold! No wings, no rolls, no forward slope. I tell ya... This progress ain't all its cracked up to be sometime.

When I went into the Navy boot camp in Nov 1963, everyone else got 13 button pants and they gave me what looked like slacks. Never saw another sailor with the slacks!
