That is NOT me in the picture!
Thanks for visiting my gallery! If you were redirected here from Culture Crunch, you will find the "alternate versions" of Didi and Kelly here, as well as a few prototypes, if you look hard enough.
Once upon a time, I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be cool to make pictures of people on the computer?" Of course, at the time, I was thinking more along the lines of Max Headroom, but when Poser came out, I knew I had to have it. Yes, folks, I am one of the lucky few who has been using Poser since version 1!
Most people would agree that Poser 4 was the turning point, where it went from being a reference tool to a way to make real pictures (I won't say "real art") in its own right. Then came along someone named Victoria... And the rest is history!
Recently I've been getting into DAZ Studio quite a bit. I'm also trying to wrap my mind around LuxRender.

Windshield? What windshield? Oh, there's supposed to be one there. OK. What I'M impressed with is not the super clean windshield. I'm impressed with the spectacular raytracing (reflection of Miki on the hood)! WOW! And you say your laptop is the pits! I have 3 Gb in my big computer and a laptop with less, and I can't even get near this quality! My darned machines just hang at 85% of such a render. And I can only get one V4 (or M4) into an image. Any more, and the computers hang while loading shadow maps! So I wind up with a LOT of compositing. Sigh... This looks great. No need to rush your purchase of a new machine. And, my best regards to you-know-who (T.Rex is breathing down my neck and prodding me with his claws)! Keep up the good work! :-)

A bit of a gender bender I'd say. And, let's just say that Miki likes her fast machine and keeps the motor (and windscreen) clean.

Based on what you've stated before, this is one fine render, given the limitations set upon you with the laptop. Think about this: look at the power that the new machines have right now and then look at the price then think back just a few years ago and what you'd have to pay for that same power. I'm looking to get another computer (gaming version) just to do renders
