Description

Modeled in 3dsmax 2013, rendered in Octane render v1.0. All objects, including backdrop and busts, were modeled in 3dsmax. The necklaces were modeled using parametric techniques, and have been STL checked for manifold continuity. Each necklace is created as a solid manifold; the patterns and designs are modeled in. There's no displacement or opacity maps used. The piece on the left consists of a spidron-like tessellation, extruded for thickness, and some inner faces removed. The center one is made by tri-splitting the faces, then extruding the center vertex of each face, and creating lattice of struts for each edge, and balls on each vertex. Finally, the necklace on the right is made of interwoven triangles (similar to the canopy I did for my parametric desert design), with each triangle split into 3 more triangles, then the inner faces removed to create a "framework". The connecting edges were shelled, or thickened, for support. Best if viewed at full size for details. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for sharing some more irresistible Jewellery here with us ... they are all amazing and impressive designs and great results, but #1 would have to be a favourite with me, for practical reasons ;) meticulous work on #3 and simply elegant, BB
