Description

The veterinary nurse matched Ralphie's dressing to his collar.I should think so too! That incident cost just short of £300: an expensive little vixen. The council has collected the body at last. We go on Monday to have the stitches out of the leg wound, but the ones in his mouth are self-destructing. You can see how close to his eye he was bitten, we were very lucky there!

Oh Ralphie - he looks so regal here! Love the color coded bandage... Yes - that vet bill is a tad stiff I would say but worth it for this lad!

Better keep him away from the Vixen Andrea. I am worried you will loose Ralphie. One can never be sure how the fight will end between dog and vixen. Superb capture Andrea. God Bless.

He looks so calm and serene! I can almost hear him say, 'It was in the winter of '13 when I met up with that fox...' and continuing to tell the fascinated listeners of his exploits...

Perhaps you need to hire some beaters to go through your garden before the dogs go out and dislodge any unwelcome wildlife? Poor Ralphie, he does look quite proud of his expensive wounds! Veterinary costs are not much different from human medical costs, at least here.

Poor thing! If these foxes are numerous it would be cheaper to fence them out than the vet bills!

If the leg wound is from Rosie it doesn't look like the little pregnant girl was able to put up much of a fight defending herself. I guess Ralphie is too old to be trained to just bark and scare them away. Too bad for everyone.

It was a life and death struggle between them, too bad one had to die.

Good shot of a rather stoic Ralphie. And, if you ignore the bandage and wounds, seemingly in no worse shape than before his encounter with the fox. I wonder, in his canine mind, if he learned anything from that harrowing experience. Ironically, he looks like he's raring to go again.

I'm sure he'll heal up just fine ... he looks good. I like Denise's idea of hiring beaters! :)

A super photo of Ralphie and his colorful leg wrap. That was a close bite near his eye. You were both very lucky. Are you allowed to put out traps?
