Description

I wondered why this area of the docks of Long Beach/LA was called the "Golden Shore" until I had to come up with a name for this picture. Then it all became clear to me. Again I am on the Shoreline Pedestrian Bikepath at the Catalina Express docks. Being this was southern California, at 15C (60F) people were bundled up in layers of fleece and many were wearing knee high boots - these two were relatively under-dressed. Smirk. For me the weather was glorious. Trying to play catch up in your galleries after a three week absence.

Beautiful sunrise shedding the golden hues on the walkway and buildings. Beautiful. 60 is tee shirt weather around here.

The golden light is very appealing, as is that long sweeping curved path & railing. 60F is the temperature in my house right now - we've had the heating repair guy out twice in the past week & it seems to be working when he's here & then stops the next day (a corollary of Murphy's Law?). We've been keeping a fire going to keep us warm...

Wonderful light in this place and a great capture of it Roxy! I have to agree with Art - they don't know what cold is. Yesterday it was in the low 30's and snowing and I saw two girls walking around in short sleeved tees and socker shorts. Crazy!
