My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Alder happens to be the name of one of my favorite characters in literature. So, naturally I'd like the trees he's named after. He's one of those newer Earthsea characters. I love the colors in this. I'm always taken by colors, especially those rich and calming sorts of hues. The DOF in this is fantastic and the details simply pop. This is one of those shots that makes me wanna write something, especially since those possible Alders live up to the title and express endless, rich possibilities. Really superb work.

I remember watching a woman walking slowly up behind you while you were taking this picture. The look on her face was priceless. She didn't have a clue what you were doing. Too bad I didn't get her picture, but it would have spoiled the moment. And a fine photo you have here my dear:*

Just waiting for the signal that spring has arrived and then its off to the races. This is a really nice image. I would have thought that the camera stuck in front of your face would have given that woman a clue.

A promise of things to come...... a most delightful shot, Tara! I was reading Bill's comment, and it did remind me of just how much fun it is watching people's reactions as we photographers sometimes do unexpected things in order to get a photo.
